Barclays helps to market finance for enterprise

Barclays’ Financial Inclusion Team has awarded £15,000 of grant funding to ART to help the organisation raise awareness of its activities and attract more borrowers and investors. August 2005

Steve Walker, Chief Executive of ART, said: “We are delighted to have received funding from Barclays to support our marketing efforts.  Experience has shown that our messages can be complex, and finding the right positioning to attract investors and borrowers is challenging.  We plan to upgrade our website and revise our range of literature this year.”

Jenna Eastlake, Senior Financial Inclusion Manager at Barclays said: “Supporting ART in its business development and marketing is part of our much wider support for community finance organisations and commitment to promoting financial inclusion.  Small businesses and start-ups cannot always access credit through mainstream financial services and community development finance organisations such as ART can help to provide this support on a local basis.”
