An investment opportunity with a difference

ART launches a campaign to raise a minimum of £200K this financial year from corporate and individual investors, whose return will be primarily social rather than financial. Investors will benefit from a new tax relief whilst boosting enterprise within the local economy. June 2004

Investments may range from £250 to £20,000 and, because ART is accredited by the DTI for Community Investment Tax Relief (CITR), investors will qualify for 5% per annum off corporation and personal tax liabilities for a maximum of five years.

“An investment in ART is a positive and practical way of helping to provide individuals, organisations and communities a better chance to create a brighter future for themselves,” says Sir Adrian Cadbury, Chairman of ART. “ART’s corporate investors are exercising social responsibility by supporting an organisation which puts their investment to work productively and improves the local economic environment to the advantage of us all.”

Steve Walker, Chief Executive of ART adds: “All original shareholders have seen the value of their investment in ART maintained and their funds have been used as the base to enable us to raise additional public and private sector funds from various sources.”
