Leading Figures join ART Board

ART’s Board has been strengthened with the appointment of two leading figures from Birmingham’s business community. September 2005

Jeremy Wagg, who lives in Dorridge, is an Executive Director of Unity Trust Bank, the specialist bank for charities and voluntary organisations, owned by the trade union movement and Co-operative Bank.  He brings to ART extensive experience of the local banking sector, having previously worked for the Co-operative Bank as well as Hill Samuel Merchant Bank in Birmingham. 

 

Duncan Murray is a banking partner at Cobbetts Solicitors - a top 50 UK law firm with offices in Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.  He brings with him a wide experience of corporate and financial affairs having acted for a variety of clients ranging from private individuals and small businesses to multinationals and government departments. 

 

Speaking prior to ART’s AGM Steve Walker, Chief Executive of ART, commented: “We are delighted that two highly experienced figures have agreed to join the Board.  Their expertise and local contacts will help us to raise awareness of what we offer and achieve our target of lending £1m to support the local economy in the coming year.”
