Housing Chief joins ART

Since graduating from Birmingham University in 1980, Laurice, who lives in Sutton Coldfield, has built a career managing and developing council housing stock in Birmingham and Sandwell.  She joined Mercian Housing Association, a not-for-profit organisation that provides affordable housing across the West Midlands, as Chief Executive in 2002.  She brings to ART extensive understanding and experience of management and strategy development in the non- commercial sector.

Commenting on her appointment Laurice says: “Joining ART’s Board creates a great opportunity to connect a community-focused housing association with an innovative community-focused financial organisation that is helping to improve people's lives by supporting entrepreneurship and financial inclusion.  As an independent non-executive director my aim will be to support ART by promoting the excellent work it does to the wider housing and regeneration network in the West Midlands.”
