Fair Finance Consortium

A group of alternative finance providers in the West Midlands, including ART, have joined forces to form The ‘Fair Finance Consortium’, with the aim of raising awareness of what they can offer when traditional lenders such as banks can’t help. October 2005

Like ART, most of the members of the Fair Finance Forum are independent CDFIs (Community Development Finance Institutions) that offer a range of financial products tailored to meet otherwise unmet needs.

George Keenan, Head of Development for the Fair Finance Consortium said “Alternative CDFI loan products have been available for some time, but their diverse offers remain little known.  Our members are here to help those who cannot get access to conventional financial products or services.”

Supported by Advantage West Midlands, the Region’s Development Agency, and the DTI Phoenix Fund, the Fair Finance Consortium is planning to undertake a three-pronged campaign involving print, internet and telephone communication to publicise the various financial offers its members have.
